The U.S. Complete Shooting Dog Association will hold its annual meeting and awards banquet at the Fort Magruder Hotel and Conference Center in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday August 3rd. The meeting will start at 12:30 and the banquet at 5:00 pm. Full agenda and other details will be announced on this website as the date gets closer.
We are excited to announce that Rick Smith will be our guest speaker for the banquet. Rick is a world renowned dog trainer and was gracious in taking some time from his busy seminar schedule to speak with us.
We will be presenting a full slate of handler and dog of the year awards. The Open Dog of the year is Islander owned by Pedja Kazic of Greenlawn, NY and handled by Robert Ecker of Quakake, PA. Mr. Ecker is also the Open Handler of the Year. The Amateur Dog of the Year is Pirate’s Mean Louise owned and handled by Dennis Kivikko. The Amateur Handler of the Year is Mike Spotts of Bloomsburg, PA. The full list of award winners, open and amateur gun dog, puppy, derby, and shooting dog will be announced on our website and presented at the banquet; along with regional winners.
In business news, we have many new and exciting things going on within the organization. However, the most exciting and promising of all is a large increase in entries over past years. Our entries increased 27% this trial season!
