The U.S. Complete Shooting Dog Association will hold its annual meeting and awards banquet at the Fort Magruder Hotel and Conference Center in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday July 21st. The meeting will start at 12:30 and the banquet at 5:00 pm. Full agenda and other details will be announced on this website as the date gets closer.
We are delighted to announce that Harold Ray will be our guest speaker for the banquet. We will be presenting a full slate of handler and dog of the year awards. The Open Dog of the year is Bo of Piney Woods owned by Richard Warters of Pinehurst, NC and handled by Robert Ecker of Quakake, PA. Mr. Ecker is also the Open Handler of the Year. The Amateur Dog of the Year is Sweet Hill Peace Pipe owned by Mitchell Forrester and handled by Jimmy Crandall, both of Kilmarnock, VA. Mr. Crandall is also the Amateur Handler of the Year. The full list of award winners, open and amateur gun dog, puppy, derby, and shooting dog will be announced on our website and presented at the banquet; along with regional winners.
In business news, we have many new and exciting things going on within the organization. Entries have remained strong but we are continuously looking for new clubs and handlers. We will continue to waive the dog tax for all new clubs who join the U.S. Complete. Also, any new handlers (first time running in a U.S. Complete trial) will have their entry fee covered by the organization!
As it is an election year for officers, Joe Cammisa is heading up the nominating committee. If anyone has any questions or nomination of new officers Joe can be contacted at (724) 859-3908.
Please join us in Williamsburg for the awards banquet! Contact Mert Jones at (804) 769-9292 (home), (804) 512-7567 (cell), or email at email@example.com to RSVP. Dinner is $40 per plate.
